A student job that counts on your resume.

Semester break means: time to work and earn. During the non-lecture period you can work full-time, up to 40 hours per week, without hitting the 20-hour limit. With short-term employment you also pay no social contributions. ucm offers semester break jobs in hospitality, events, retail and logistics across Germany.
As a Werkstudent you can work up to 40 h/week in the lecture-free period.
Via Kurzfristige Beschäftigung up to 70 days/year , no social contributions.
40 h/week × €16/h gross = your starter cash for next semester.
Two options work well: (1) Werkstudent , during the break you can work up to 40 h/week as long as you're still enrolled. (2) Kurzfristige Beschäftigung , up to 70 days/year without social contributions. We'll suggest whichever brings you the most.
It depends on your hourly rate and hours. As a Werkstudent with 40 h/week at €17/hr you can easily clear €2,500+ gross per month. Via short-term employment without social contributions, your net pay is especially high.
BAföG: income above around €6,240/year gross can reduce your funding. Family insurance: short-term employment doesn't endanger it (it's social-insurance-free); Werkstudent earnings above €556/month on an ongoing basis do.
Yes. With short-term employment (Kurzfristige Beschäftigung), all assignments combined count toward the 70-day limit per calendar year. As a Werkstudent: in up to 26 weeks/year you can work more than 20 h/week (e.g. summer and winter break).
